Two-star linebacker Alexander DiSanzo took his unofficial visit to Boston College this weekend knowing that the chances of him making a verbal commitment were pretty high and when all was said and done he did in fact pull the trigger, becoming a part of the Eagle family. We spoke with DiSanzo on Sunday about his decision. | |||

The past two weeks for Don Bosco Prep strong side linebacker Alexander DiSanzo have been pretty darn good, first winning his second consecutive New Jersey State Championship over St. Peter’s Prep at Giant’s Stadium and now this weekend, finding his future school in Boston College. The 6-foot-3, 221-pound athlete will continue the tradition of Ironmen players moving on to Chestnut Hill in 2008, which he spoke about with us. “I committed to Boston College during my visit,” DiSanzo said. “It went really well when I was up at practice and there are just so many things that I like about the city of Boston and Boston College itself that it was an easy choice. I love the city and my comfort level at the school is really the main reason I committed because it is just like Don Bosco there and I already know a ton of players.” “I talked to Coach Jags (Jeff Jagodzinski) who seems like a really level-headed guy and just treats his players really well,” DiSanzo explained. “The rest of the coaching staff are also stand-up guys and they know when to joke around and when to be serious which is what I am used to.” DiSanzo, an avid surfer and snowboarder even had some fun with Head Coach Jeff Jagodzinski during the visit… “I told him I was going to have to take my official to Colorado to check out the snowboarding and he told me I could just do that up there,” DiSanzo joked. “Now I have clearance from the coach, so I’ll be on the slopes while I’m at school too.” DiSanzo also held offers from Colorado and Cincinnati. |
