Charles Reeves started at receiver and defensive back this year and played in only 6 games due to a high ankle sprain and separated shoulder. Despite the injuries, Charles led Dekalb with 43 receptions for 735 YDS, 3 TD'S, and also chipped in 212 yards rushing. Selected to the 2007 Georgia All-Star game for his play on the field. Reeves' junior campaign saw him also led Dekalb in receiving with 57 for 801 yards and 7 TD's. The 6' 0", 180 pounder also carried the ball 45 carries for 478 yards and 2 TDS. Special teams has remained a strength for Charles as he had 600 yards in returns. On the defensive side of the ball, where some project him to play on the next level, the Atlanta native had 49 tackles and 2 int's. Charles was selected as the top WR in Dekalb County for the '06 campaign. In 2005, Reeves had 35 rec for 691yds 4 TD's,
31 carries for 405 yards and 4 TD's. He also made 64 tackles and 4 int's and 558
return yards and 2 Td's while playing special teams. The four year starter had a a
solid freshman campaign as he totaled 12 receptions for 235 yds and 1 TD. The
versatile player also had 22 carries for 281 yds and 3 Td's At corner, Reeves
had 21 tackles, 3 int's. Charles is being recruited by Tennessee, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida and a host of other Division 1 schools. |
