Wallace Looking for More Offers

Harlem Hellfighter offensive lineman Martin Wallace recently picked up his first written scholarship offer from a Division I-AA program in Albany and could be close with Northeastern as well. While those are the schools playing closest attention to him he is being approached by others as well.

Two-star offensive tackle Martin Wallace picked up his first offer last week and while the 6-foot-5.5, 285-pound athlete stars at offensive tackle he is also receiving some interest on the defensive side of the ball from Connecticut right now. Maryland and Louisville are also still in the picture according to the New York, N.Y., native.

"I picked up my first offer from Albany and think I am really close to getting my second one from Northeastern right now," Wallace said. "I also still get stuff from Maryland and Louisville, but I don't know how serious either of those schools are right now."

"I did talk to Connecticut recently and Coach McMichaels told me they were set at offensive tackle, but could use help at defensive tackle," Wallace explained. "He said he'd like to see me in action on defense, but I barely played it all season, so I am going to send him what I do have. I did play both ways for some of our championship game and had three tackles for loss and two sacks."

Wallace helped the Hellfighters to a 10-2 season.
