Millersburg, Pa., signal caller Darryl Kerstetter played his senior season in a lot of pain, pushing his way through with a partially torn labrum, fractured wrist and injured Achilles tendon all the way to the Pennsylvania playoffs where his team eventually lost to eventual state champion Steelton-Highspire. Right now he is being recruited by four programs and talked about them with us.

Darryl Kerstetter threw and rushed for over a 1000 yards each and scored a total of 24 touchdowns as a senior for Millersburg Area High School, leading his team to the playoffs yet again. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback is being recruited on both sides of the ball by schools right now and has basically received the “athlete” label in recruiting.

“I had a visit set up to go to Kent State, but the weather was absolutely horrible, so I didn’t get to make it down there and we’re going to have to reschedule it for a different time,” Kerstetter said. “I will be taking an official visit to New Hampshire in January sometime and also have been talking about going down and meeting with the University of Delaware.”

“Coach Matt Cersosimo from Connecticut called just before Christmas and asked me to come up again, so I left him a message and am just waiting to hear back from him at this point,” Kerstetter explained. “I am definitely going to visit again when I get a date from him. I like Coach SOS because he’s very in-depth, does a great job selling his program and is probably one of the best recruiters I have come across.”

Kerstetter still has no offers, but could pick some up soon from smaller programs. Connecticut is recruiting him as an athlete.
