Prentiss Waggner (CB, Clinton, LA) - Scout.com's #41 nationally rated cornerback took official visits to Tennessee (11/3) and Minnesota (10/20) and has two more set up for the month of January.
"I am going to North Carolina on January 12th and Ole Miss on January 18th," added
Prentiss Waggner
. "Those two have really been coming after me hard lately."
Waggner finished his senior season with 45 tackles, 9 interceptions, and also doubled at receiver and had 868 receiving yards and 15 TD's.
"I was named All-Metro, 2A All-State, and I was the Defensive MVP in our District."
What did the 6' 2" corner improve on most this season?
"My techniques, back peddling, and just my overall tackling skills. I was much more physical this year."
Now that Prentiss has lined up four of his official visits; who will get the last trip?
"I do not know yet, either Nebraska or Florida."
What stands out about North Carolina?
"I have been talking to their secondary coach, Coach Thigpen. He wants me to come on a visit and see how it is up there. I do not know too much about North Carolina except they have some good coaches and it is an up and coming school."
What are Ole Miss' positives?
"I have talked to them one or two times recently. They have a new staff and head coach. I like the way they play defense under Coach Nutt's schemes. They like to play a lot of man to man. They feel like I am can be another

for them, a real physical corner."
Where does Nebraska stand?
"I sent them a highlight film. The defensive coordinator from LSU is now over there. They want to get me up there for a visit."
And Florida?
"I have already been to their campus. I went down there this summer for a camp. I would like to go back for another visit."
Who is coming after Prentiss the hardest?
"Tennessee and Minnesota. They are the schools I talk to the most."
Where does Prentiss stand academically?
"I have already qualified, academically."
