Last Friday night I had a chance to watch one of the top signal callers in the state of Illinois and came away very impressed.
Benjy Kennedy, a 6-foot-2, 185-pounder from Morris was a one-man machine that had his offense running on all cylinders.
Kennedy operates the offense from the shotgun and he can hurt a defense with his feet or his arm.
I came away impressed with Kennedy's arm strength, touch and leadership. This young man can really spin it and he'll be running the same offense in college.
"I committed to Bowling Green," said quarterback Benjy Kennedy. "Bowling Green runs the same offense as we run now and I'm comfortable with the coaches. It's a good fit."
Kennedy also had interest from Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Iowa and Nebraska.
