Players like Mike Adams, Marcus Fortson, John Goodman, and A.J. Harmon all looked terrific in the second session of the East’s practice, but DeVier Posey may have established himself as the go to receiver out of a wide out grouping that was ultra-competitive.
Every quarterback that came in to the practice to take reps seemed to be able to find the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Ohio State commitment for a completion.
Receivers like Kenny Tate, John Goodman, Brice Butler and DeAndre Brown are all top-notch players, but Posey just seemed to possess all of the skills. He had the hands, speed, and route running ability of an NFL talent, but his biggest asset may be his ability to find the ball in the air and make the adjustment to haul it down.
Every one that follows college football knows about the heated rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State and the Wolverines most high profile recruit in the game cornerback Boubacar Cissoko did not hesitate when he was asked who he thought the most talented receiver was.
“That DeVier Posey is the best wide receiver here,” Cissoko stated. “He does everything well.”
