Robert Fuller, the 6-foot-1.5, 200-pound two-star quarterback/athlete with 4.7 quickness from Arroyo Valley High School in San Bernardino, Calif., finished his senior season (7-3-1) with 2,775 yards passing for 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also rushed for 880 yards and 10 additional scores.
Fuller previously had an offer from Colorado State, but says he hasn't heard from the Rams since their coaching change. "I haven't talked with anyone in a while," Fuller said. "I'm not sure what's going on with them right now."
So the only offer that Fuller knows he has for sure is from Idaho State and he plans to visit them on Jan. 11.
Fuller's also set up a visit to Utah State for Jan. 18. "They have a young team that runs the spread offense," he said. "They are up-and-coming and I think I'd be able to play early there. I could be the player that really makes a big impact on their program and helps get them to the next level."
Although Fuller still denies a favorite, he likes Utah State, Northern Arizona, Idaho State and Boise State. "Boise State has been contacting me more this month," he said. "I sent them my transcript and hopefully they'll offer. They said that it's between me and one other quarterback from California for the scholarship.
"Boise State is a great program and it would be nice to go there because they are already a winning team," he said. "They have good tradition and I like the offense they run."
Fuller, who was also being recruited at safety or athlete, insists on playing quarterback in college, which likely caused some of the Pac-10 programs to back off. He was previously receiving interest from Oregon, Arizona and Washington.
He reports a 2.8 core GPA and a 930 SAT.
