The players are takling about him. The coaches are talking about him. We have certainly noticed too. Wide receiver Josh Jarboe has played brilliantly in four days of practice at the Under Armour All-America practices this week.

One of the top performers in this week’s Under Armour All-America practice sessions has been wide receiver Josh Jarboe (Ellenwood, Ga.). In fact, with all the high profiled wide receivers playing in this event, you could make a strong case that Jarboe has been the best and most consistent in the four days of practice.

“Coming in, I heard about Julio (Jones) and A.J. (Green),” said Jarboe. “I know they are the five star guys and I was just a four-star. I wanted to come here ready and prepared and to show everyone that I can really play this game. It feels good to come out here and compete and do well. I just want to keep doing what I am doing and I would like to be rated that high.”

In terms of recruiting, Jarboe favors four schools – Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida and LSU. He has already tripped to Norman and came away impressed with the Sooners.

“Oklahoma as a great trip. They played A&M and I love the stadium. Duke (Robinson) was my host and he showed me a nice time. I really like that program and I like their depth situation at receiver. I can go there and play early.

“Georgia is the home team for me. I know the guys well and I grew up watching them but I actually kind of grew up a (Georgia) Tech fan. But I like Georgia and they have a well balanced offense.

“Florida is Florida and I like the Gators. It’s certainly a program I could see myself fitting into.

”Same with LSU. I always watch them and they seem to always play in that big Bowl game.”

Jarboe claims a few more trips are in the works. He would also love to go to school with fellow Team Red teammate Neiko Lipscomb (Tucker, Ga.).

“If I could take one guy here with me it would be him. We have gotten to know each other a lot lately between football and track.”

Jarboe is a track standout, running the 200 (21.7) and 400 (48.4). This season he finished the year with 36 receptions for 645 yards and seven scores.
