Kaddu High on Three
Josh Kaddu (Scout.com)

Scout.com spoke Monday night with Josh Kaddu, a 6-foot-3, 211-pound outside linebacker prospect from Vacaville, Calif., and Kaddu expects to know where he's going to college in the next couple of weeks. With one more visit left, Kaddu brought us up to speed on his official visits, as well as trimming his final list down to three schools.
"Things went good," Kaddu said of his official visit to
Washington
, which took place this past weekend. "I enjoyed the visit. I enjoyed the players and the coaching staff. It was a good trip."
Freshman safety
Nate Williams
was his player-host on his trip. "He told me that he liked it (Washington)," Kaddu said. "He came in and he didn't know that he was going to play, but then he got to play and told me that I could come in and do the same thing because we lost two players at the position that I play."
Washington wants Kaddu as a SAM. "They see me playing SAM backer," he confirmed. "And if I come in and I'm ready, they could see me starting or playing and getting a lot of PT."
Kaddu happened to be visiting the same weekend as current UW commit
Terrance Dailey
. Dailey also happens to be a teammate of Kaddu's at Vacaville. "It was fun," he said of taking the visit with Dailey. "We just hung out a lot with our hosts. It was cool being with a friend."
Kaddu acknowledged that Dailey is recruiting him to the Huskies. "He hints at things," Kaddu said with a chuckle. "He tells me about the situation at Washington and how I could be playing, but he's not trying to make a big push on me or anything."
All that being said, Kaddu also noted that where Dailey was committed would not play a part in his final decision. "That would just be a bonus," he said of the idea of playing at the same school with Dailey.
Currently Kaddu holds scholarship offers from Washington,
Oregon
,
Arizona State
,
Arizona
and
Fresno State
. He will visit Oregon this weekend and then make his final decision in the coming two weeks. Coaches from the various schools will come in after the Oregon visit to make their final pitch to Kaddu and his family.
So how would Kaddu rate his visit to Washington? "It was a seven," he said. "It was good. I didn't get to really see the college life because I guess most of their students weren't there, but it was still good."
Kaddu told Scout that he's getting close to a final choice. "Things are getting narrowed down a little," he said. "I think I'm getting a good feel for Arizona, Washington and Oregon.
He visited Tucson in early December. "I like Arizona because of the environment, the coaching staff and the players," he said. "Everyone was really nice to me. It was a good trip."
And Oregon? "I just like the coaching staff. They are telling me that next year's team is going to be great and they want me to be a part of it. I want to come in and make an impact. I've seen their depth at linebacker and I think I can come in and play."
We will be in touch with Josh to find out how his official visit to Oregon went.
