"I
have three more classes to go," added Patrick Trahan. "Then I am ready
to go. I am taking 9 hours this Spring, and I will be ready to go."
And
where will his next stop be?
"I still do not know for sure, but I
am getting a good idea. I am going to Oklahoma State this weekend and Ole Miss
next. USM and Arkansas both offered me recently, and that is about it right now."
Who
else has been in recent phone contact?
"Coach Nutt talked to my mom
yesterday for a while. I wanted to ask Coach Nix something, but I am waiting for
him to call me back. I want to know about some schemes. I really like Coach Nix
a lot. He is a cool fellow. Very straight forward."
A couple more
coaches have also made an impression.
"Coach Frank is my boy. He
knows that. And the Oklahoma State coaches are all nice too. I do not have anything
bad to say about any of the coaches who are recruiting me."
Mississippi's
2007 Junior College Defensive Player of the year has had a chance to look into
each school's depth chart and sees the same for all.
"They all need
some help at linebacker. They all lack quality depth. I know I can come in at
any of those schools and make an impact."
Then what will be the deciding
factors?
"Just how I feel at their school while I am on my visits,
and what kind of feeling I get from the coaches."
When did Arkansas
get in the game?
"They called for the first time on Monday, and we
are just now starting to get to know one another."
Where does LSU
stand?
"I still talk to them, but I am waiting to see who their new
defensive coordinator is going to be."
