Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger defensive tackle Ottis Jones has set two Pac-10 visits, and he'll be taking both of them in the next two weekends.
"Ottis will visit Arizona State this weekend, and he'll go to Oregon next weekend," said Leuzinger assistant coach Ralph Oliver. "He wants to play in the Pac-10 so he was pretty excited about them."
Jones does have an offer from one Pac-10 school in Washington State. Colorado and Iowa State have both offered as well and he also has one from Nevada. The coach who recruited him at Nevada, Kim McCloud, is now at Baylor and the Bears could get involved.
"But he doesn't really want to leave the area, so he's leaning towards the Pac-10 schools. The coaches told him at Arizona State and Oregon that there is a good chance they will offer him on his visits. UCLA could also get involved some more when the staff gets settled."
Jones is being recruited as a defensive tackle by each school, and Oliver said schools think he could play early.
"He's really started to add more good weight this year," said Oliver.
During his 2007 senior season, Jones had 73 tackles, eight QB hurries and seven sacks.
