Wilkes getting ready for inhome visit from OM

The 6' 4", 220 pound signal caller out of Orlando got a call from the Ole Miss staff this week.

"Coach Nutt called me this week," added Chris Wilkes. "He had all of the coaches on the line with him, Coaches Vaughn, Shibest, Dickerson, pretty much all of them."

One of the key messages from the Ole Miss staff was Chris' value to their recruiting class.

"They just wanted to make sure I am still committed and happy with my decision. They are going to be out here next week to make sure I am all Ole Miss."

Chris has remained solid from day one and nothing has changed.

"Yea, I look forward for them to come out here and meet me and my family. I am still going to Ole Miss. I look forward to competing for a job and staying in shape until I get there."

Chris' fullback on his team is committed to Arkansas. Could you see Ole Miss try and get in the picture for Tommy Shuler?

"He is not going to qualify so he has to go the juco route. I think after he completes that, he is going to go to Arkansas. I am still working on Danny White and a couple more guys from around here in Florida."

Chris took his official visit to Ole Miss in September but hopes to come back before signing day to meet all of the new staff members.

"I am talking with my family about coming over there unofficially next weekend or the weekend after. I want to go over there and help recruit too. Nothing is in concrete yet."
