When head coach Bo Pelini was announced as the Cornhusker’s new coach there was a definite up-tick in the recruiting process, most noticeably in the “Lone Star State.” Klein defensive end John Youboty was one of the players that the new staff targeted and they had him on campus this weekend for an official visit. | |||

John Youboty, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end from Klein High in Texas really had a good time on his official visit to Nebraska. “I just got back from the trip,” Youboty explained. “It was a good trip. It was great actually. I really had a lot of fun.” “One of the things I really liked was the coaching staff under coach Pelini. They seem like good and honest coaches. I also really liked the facilities. They have unbelievable facilities.” “I could really see myself fitting in with their defense. I got to sit down with coach Pelini and coach Papuchis and they told me how I would fit in.” Youboty’s teammate at Klein High, Brian Moore, has also been offered a scholarship to play for Nebraska and he was also in Lincoln this weekend. “Brian had a good time,” Youboty said. “Oh yeah we definitely talked about playing at Nebraska together.” Youboty admits that he is most likely down to two schools, and he wants to make a decision soon after his last scheduled visit. “Basically it is down to Nebraska and California,” Youboty informed. “I was supposed to go to Cal last weekend, but I rescheduled it for next weekend instead. I will take my visit and try to make a decision on Sunday or Monday.”
