Florida CB back from weekend visit
"I went up to UCF for a visit," George Baker said. "It was a good visit. They showed us the school, we saw the new stadium, and things like that. I was hosted by A.J. Guyton, another player from down here in Miami." Baker, 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, said he was one of 10 official visitors in Orlando this weekend. "It was 10 of us and I was the only player who isn't committed to them," he said. "It was mainly guys who already know they're going there." Baker said he sat down with head coach George O'Leary before leaving. "He was saying how much they want me, how there's no pressure on making a decision, things like that," he said. "I told him I had a good time and they're still in the mix." While UCF is still involved, as is Rutgers (another school he's already visited), one school still has the upper hand. "Auburn is still my top choice," he said. "I just really like them. My next visit is to USF on the 25th but I don't know a whole lot about them yet." How about the fifth and final visit? "I'm probably gonna go to Miami on the first weekend in February," he said. "They haven't offered me yet but Coach Nix is supposed to be coming by the school this week and he'll explain the situation so I should know a lot more after that on whether Miami's gonna offer. If they do, they'll be right up there (with Auburn)." Baker, who will host UCF assistant David Kelly for an in-home visit on Thursday, carries a 3.2 GPA and claims a 740 SAT score.
