At 6-6 and 225 pounds with 4.4 speed and a good enough arm to scare opponents
passing, it's hard to picture a more dominant athlete in the country than
Scout.com's No. 1 prospect Terrelle
Pryor of Jeannette, Pa..
Bob Lichtenfels is Scout.com's North Recruiting Manager, and he's been on the
Pryor bandwagon for a long time.
"Terrelle Pryor may be the most exciting athlete I'll ever see in my time,
but even I had to question the level of competition that he played against at
times. Pryor took no prisoners and silenced his critics at the U.S. Army
All-American Bowl by earning the MVP honors. He clearly showed everyone that
there is Terrelle Pryor, and there is everyone else."
Lichtenfels is aware that many have questioned Pryor's ability to play
quarterback on the college level, but he isn't concerned.
"He may not have the prettiest throwing motion or the crispest release,
but the kid is a winner, and he can do anything on the field that he puts his
mind to."
Pryor was happy when he heard about the promotion to the top spot in the
rankings "It feels good knowing that Scout.com made me the No.1
player," Pryor said. "Now I have to go to live up to it in
college."
Where he'll play in college is still unknown as Pryor is looking to make a
decision amongst a host of suitors including Ohio
State, Michigan, Penn
State, and Florida among others.
It's hard to say that Daquan
Bowers (6-4/268/4.8) of Bamberg, S.C. was underrated at No. 6 overall in the
country, but his showing at the Under Armour All-America Game was enough to
boost him to the No. 2 spot amidst some stiff competition.

Bowers was nearly unblockable all week in Orlando, and is the type of player
that demands a double team on every play, or he will ruin any other offensive
schemes.
