"I just got back from
my visit to Tennessee," commented Dallas Thomas. "I had a really good
time. They have a lot of programs for players so that everyone can keep up academically.
I spent a lot of time with their OL coach. He's a real cool guy. I think I have
a chance at playing early at Tennessee."Thomas also met Tennessee's
newest addition to their staff.
"I also met the new offensive coordinator
who was previously at Richmond. They're going to run the west coast offense next
year and I like that. I enjoyed learning about the school and meeting the coaches,
and learning about how their new offense. They answered a lot of my questions."
Did
Tennessee get a commitment from Thomas?
"No. I did not commit, but
I really enjoyed my trip. I still need to take my other visits."
With
one visit down, what's next for the talented offensive lineman?
"I
have a visit set up with Ole Miss on 1/18. I have not been to Ole Miss yet but
I'm looking forward to it. I need to meet the new coaches. Brandon Bolden and
Prentiss Waggner will go with me and we plan on learning as much about the school
as we can."
"I'm also working on setting up a visit with Southern Miss. Several of their new coaches were at Ole Mis, and I knew them when they
were there. Nothing is set up yet, but I plan on lining up a visit. Southern Miss
is telling me they want me to come in early and play tackle."
What
position are other schools recruiting you to play?
"Well, Southern
Miss wants me to play tackle. Tennessee and Ole Miss just want me to play somewhere
on the offensive line, but they all think I'll end up at tackle."
Does
Thomas have any leaders?
"No. Not right now. Everyone is the same.
I just want to take my visits and make the best decision for me."
