Las Vegas (Nev.) Faith Lutheran product Garrett Sherwood, one of the top two-way prospects in Nevada, has made his college decision.
"Garrett has verbally committed to play football on full scholarship at the United States Naval Academy," said his father George.
In Sherwood, the Midshipmen are getting a two-way player who saw significant time at running back and at linebacker.
At 6-2, 200, Sherwood ran for 624 yards and seven touchdowns in 2007 and had seven catches for 150 yards and two scores.
Defensively, he had 154 tackles, a sacks and a fumble recovery. He averaged 15.4 tackles a game during his senior season.
