New Jersey RB Headed to SMU

Atco, N.J., product Keith Robinson had offers on the table from six other programs, but after an official visit to Southern Methodist University this weekend the running back decided to pull the trigger and become a Mustang. With Head Coach June Jones now at the helm things are exciting in Dallas and Robinson is happy to be a part of that.

Winslow Township High School ball carrier Keith Robinson took an official visit to SMU this weekend and verbally committed at the commencement of that trip to the Mustangs, giving them a 5-foot-9, 175-pound back that had also been offered by the likes of Connecticut, Rhode Island, William & Mary, Eastern Michigan, Temple, and Massachusetts.

“I committed to SMU after they offered me during my official visit,” Robinson said. “The visit went really well and I thought Head Coach June Jones was a great guy. He is going to get that program headed in the right direction quickly and I’m excited to see what we can do after watching the success he had over at Hawaii.”

“The city was great and the campus was beautiful there,” Robinson added. “I hung out with a lot of the players who were all good people and had a lot of fun with them. I’ve heard the stories about how SMU used to be a big-time program and am excited to be a part of bringing them back to that level.”
