Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame athlete Thaddeus Brown took an official visit to Washington State this past weekend and left with his first Pac-10 offer.

"They offered me on Friday night, the first night I got there," said Brown. "But I didn't commit to them."

Part of the reason is because Brown is a commit to Boise State, albeit a soft one.

"I'm still a verbal to Boise State, a soft verbal. And they're the favorite," said Brown. "This Friday, I'm going to Nevada. It's really those three schools I'm considering, Nevada, Boise State and Washington State."

On his trip to Pullman, Brown was hosted by freshman corner Chima Nwachukwu.

"He was cool and I really liked the whole weekend," said Brown. "It's a nice town with a nice campus and nice dorms. Everywhere you go, the football players are known."

Last week, Washington State had an in-home with Brown, and he thought an offer could be coming on his visit. Now, he'll have two more in-homes, with Nevada and Boise State both coming by on Tuesday.

"I'm holding off on my final decision until I get back from Nevada," said Brown. "Sometime early next week I'll have my decision. I'm ready to get this over with though."

During the 2007 season, Brown rushed for 1,004 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass for the Knights. Recommended Stories
