Reuland Closing In On Decision

Konrad Reuland

After leaving Notre Dame in the fall, Konrad Reuland enrolled at a junior college. This week, he plans to make his announcement on where he'll be spending the next three seasons, and three schools remain in the mix...

Konrad Reuland, one of the elite tight ends nationally in the class of 2006, is ready to make his decision on his college future this week.

Reuland left Notre Dame early in the fall and enrolled at a JC in Southern California so he could have his choice of where he'd play in college.

On Monday, Reuland received some good news.

"I found out I was admitted into Stanford, so I'm going to be deciding this week where I'll be going," said Reuland. "I'm choosing between Stanford, Oregon and Colorado."

Having gone through the recruiting process once before, Reuland said this time, he's going to take as much as necessary this week to make the decision.

"It could be tomorrow, it could be Thursday, it could be Saturday," said Reuland. "But I'll make it when I feel ready."

Stanford, though, could have the edge. They were one of his top choices when he committed originally out of Mission Viejo, but he wasn't admitted at that point and he ultimately chose Notre Dame. Two years later, Stanford has already admitted his younger brother, Warren, who will enroll as a freshman receiver next fall.
