Martin Wallace first caught our eye at the Scout.com Combine in Randolph, N.J., in April of 2006 when he put forth and impressive performance, earning first-team all offensive line honors at the event. Throughout his recruiting he flirted with many of the big boys, but at the end he decided to pull the trigger and commit to a top-flight Division I-AA program.

during his recruitment, however offers never formulated for the 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle from Wadleigh Secondary School. Recently he narrowed his choices down to two programs and chose to go to Northeastern.
“I narrowed it down to Albany and Northeastern and committed to Northeastern just a few days ago,” Wallace said. “After taking an official visit there I decided I liked what they had to offer athletically and academically a bit more then at Albany and also had a better relationship with the staff. They actually came in to my home to eat dinner with my family and I and just went over everything with me personally which I really liked.”
The New York, N.Y., native could have held out and perhaps landed an offer from either Connecticut or Louisville, but chose to end it early.
“Louisville and Connecticut were interested, but they weren’t coming through with offers, so my parents and I discussed things and I decided Northeastern was the place for me.”
Wallace was one of the best offensive linemen in the city for the Harlem Hellfighters over the past few years and also played some defensive tackle.
