Moore Committed to Ohio...For Now
Gerald Moore picked Ohio over Eastern Michigan, Army, Northwestern and Navy recently, however his verbal commitment isn't what we'd refer to as completely solid. When speaking with the 6-foot, 190-pound safety from St. John's College High School he did tell us he was committed to the Bobcats, but also admitted he was looking around. "I am committed to Ohio for now, but I am still taking a look around at some other schools," Moore explained. "I really liked Head Coach Frank Solich and the experience he brings from coaching a big program like Nebraska. I thought there was a great environment on campus and felt like I fit in, so that is where I am right now." We asked Moore to elaborate on what other programs he is looking at. "I'm not going to get into that with anyone," Moore said. "I'm going to keep that to myself until signing day. I looked at Northwestern, but couldn't get past admissions there and wasn't really feeling the coaching situation at Louisville, so I stopped talking with them. Right now I am with Ohio, but there are some other places I'm looking into." As a junior, Moore collected 49 tackles and three interceptions in nine games.
