James Landry
"Grambling has offered and then I have some Juco options but I’m probably going to go Juco,” said Landry. “If it’s Juco then it’s going to be out of Pearl River, Holmes, or Southwest.”
As a senior, Landry missed three games and still finished with over 1,000 yards passing and 1,000 rushing despite playing most of the season with a shoulder injury.
The injury is healing nicely but it was tough to overcome from a mental standpoint.
"The fourth game of the season I ran into a defensive lineman while blocking and did something to my rotator cuff,” said Landry. “I played the rest of the season and then just had surgery after it was over. The doctor said it’s fine now and it’s just a matter of getting it stronger now.”
The strong-armed signal caller may have had to put his dream of playing big-time college football on hold but if he elects to continue to work towards realizing that dream he knows there is some bright light at the end of the tunnel.
