"I'll decide sometime before signing day," Aaron Boyd said. "It'll be a family decision later this week. I don't really know what I'm going to do yet and I don't have a leader. I just have to think about it." Boyd's 24-year old brother, Shane, played for Kentucky and now lives in Houston, Texas. Aaron denies that his brother or his parents are trying to steer him in any direction. | |||

Aaron Boyd, the 6-foot-4.5, 192-pound four-star wide receiver from Henry Clay High School in Lexington, Ky., had 55 senior receptions for 1,155 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had two interceptions and caused a couple of fumbles on defense. Scout.com's No. 26 wide receiver will announce his choice between Missouri, Oregon, Kentucky and Arkansas on signing Day (Feb. 6) at a 3:00 pm high school press conference. "I'll decide sometime before signing day," Boyd said. "It'll be a family decision later this week. I don't really know what I'm going to do yet and I don't have a leader. I just have to think about it." Boyd's 24-year old brother, Shane, played for Kentucky and now lives in Houston, Texas. Aaron denies that his brother is trying to steer him in any direction. He also denies that his parents have any preference. "My two favorite trips were to Missouri and Oregon," Boyd said. "They both had great facilities and were in nice towns. Missouri (Columbia) is just a football town. It's crazy down there and they really have a lot of spirit. "There's a lot to do at Oregon (Eugene). They have beautiful scenery and it seems like it would be a really good place to be," he said. "Coach (Mike) Bellotti will be at my school and my house tomorrow (Jan. 31). I think he'll be the last coach I'll see. "Today, coach Joker Phillips (offensive coordinator and wide receivers) from Kentucky came by my school to see me. Kentucky's in my backyard. It's like home. "At Arkansas, the football team is the only show in town," Boyd said. "Everyone knows about you there. The players were great there and coach (Bob) Petrino is a good guy. He's really laid-back, but when he speaks it's with a lot of energy. "The head coaches of all these schools really know what they are doing and they've been at their schools for a long time, except Petrino," Boyd offered. "I think all the programs are really stable and good to go into." Boyd reports a 2.7 core GPA and an 18 ACT. |
