Ohio State has developed a strong presence in the “Sunshine State” over the year and that has definitely paid dividends towards their 2008 recruiting efforts. Scout.com has confirmed Orhian Johnson is the latest player from Florida to join the Buckeye family.

Orhian Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound athlete from Boca Ciega High in Gulfport, Fla., has signed and faxed in his letter of intent to become a member of the 2008 Ohio State recruiting class.

Johnson is a very talented athlete who played safety as a sophomore and was the team's Defensive Player of the Year. He moved to quarterback as a junior and threw for 700 yards and ran for 200 more, finishing with over 1100 all-purpose yards. Johnson benches 225 pounds, squats 385 and has a 40-inch vertical jump.

Final senior (8-3, lost in first round of playoffs) stats: 1,100 yards passing for 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.
