SEATTLE (Feb. 8, 2008) - University of Washington head football coach Tyrone Willingham has hired Brian White, a former national assistant coach of the year and offensive coordinator in the Big East and Big Ten conferences, to serve as an assistant coach. White is expected to be in charge of tight ends and special teams.

However, his specific assignment could be adjusted depending on Willingham's final decision on the open running backs coaching position. White will officially begin his duties at Washington immediately.
