Cleveland Glenville's Marcus Hall could not attend the basketball game between Ohio State and Indiana this past Sunday, because of a prior commitment. Hall still lists Ohio State as one of his favorites, but more teams are entering the battle for Hall. "I couldn't get to Ohio State today," Hall stated. "I had an event at my church that I needed to be at. My teammates Jonathan Newsome and Mike Edwards went. I was at Ohio State about a month ago on an unofficial visit, and I wish I could have made it for the game." Hall is enjoying the recruiting process thus far, and has accumulated an impressive offer list. "Recruiting is going great," he said. "I just got offered by Tennessee last week and I like their program. I have other written offers from Illinois, Michigan State, Syracuse, Indiana, Iowa State, Iowa, Minnesota, West Virginia and Ohio State. I'm just sitting back and waiting to see who else offers right now. I'm getting in shape for track in the spring." Hall is not in any hurry to name a leader in his recruitment, and says he is still interested in any school that is interested in him. "I need to get out and see some other schools," Hall explained. "I was supposed to go to Illinois last weekend, but I didn't go because of the bad weather. Coach [Eric] Wolford, of Illinois, told me not to worry about coming, but I plan on going to Illinois this spring. I will probably go back to Ohio State in the spring also. I want to set up a few more unofficial visits. I will probably get around to different schools this summer. I like Ohio State and Illinois, but I'm also interested in USC, Michigan, Florida and a few others. I will take an official visit to Ohio State for sure next fall." As one of the top prospects in the Mid-West, Hall should be attracting more offers in the near future. At 6-foot-5, and 295-pounds, Hall is the prototype for the offensive right tackle spot. |
