Southwest Ohio wide receiver has to wait a week before picking up an offer and making the call.

Despite posting some great numbers at Middletown High School (Middletown, Ohio) as a senior, Phillip Barnett had problems finding a college willing to pull the trigger. With great physical size Barnett posted 950 yards on 53 receptions and 14 touchdowns and several college programs took notice. But while talk was always around none of the college coaches pulled the trigger making an official offer for 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver.

That all changed one week after signing day as Barnett picked up an offer from Toledo and made his commitment to the Rockets. The addition of Barnett places Toledo with two of Ohio’s top pass catchers as they also signed Kenny Stafford just one week ago.
