McNeal Excited About Offers

Kenric McNeal

Class of 2009 athlete from Spring (TX) High School Kenric McNeal is very happy about where he is with recruiting. He already managed to pull a few offers and has programs across the country requesting his services. Scout.com talked with the talented Texas athlete to get this update.

Though he plays quarterback for the Spring (TX) football team, athlete Kenric McNeal will more than likely line up at wide receiver on the next level. Of course, that is fine by him.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound McNeal is a member of the Scout.com Texas Top 100 and is being highly recruited at the Division I level. At the moment, he holds two offers.

"I have offers from Missouri and Houston," McNeal said. "I don't have a favorite right now, but I am very excited."

With Missouri, McNeal has been invited the Tigers' junior day, which he plans to attend. As far as Houston, which was his first offer, he is glad for the offer and likes the fact that it is close to home. McNeal also attended junior day at Texas A&M and said that the Aggies are looking at him as a top recruit.

Other schools that are showing McNeal interest are: Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, Purdue, and Kansas.

Knowing that many of the schools are looking at him as an athlete (mainly wide receiver), McNeal plans to work hard this off-season to get his body ready for the next level.

"I am trying to get bigger because I think I am too small for that level of football," McNeal said. "But I want to also make sure and keep my speed."

As a junior McNeal threw for 1,434 yards and nine touchdowns. On the ground, he had 411 yards and five touchdowns.
