Brock Sanders profile
"I have an offer from Mississippi State," said Brock. "That's my only one so far. They offered me on Tuesday February 5th. The sent a letter to me school. I wasn't sure they were really looking at me. They sent me a questionnaire. I filled it out and sent it back and then they sent me a letter offering me a full ride."
Sanders was eager to get home and share the news with his friends and family.
"Everyone was real excited," said Brock. "Mississippi State is kind of what I want. They are a good school and they are in the south. I want something in the south."
Despite growing up in the south, Sanders has some ties to the west coast.
"I kind of grew up a fan of Nevada-Reno," explained Brock. "My dad played offensive tackle for them. I grew up in Georgia, but my family is all from the west coast orginally."
Sanders will get the chance to get to see much of his extended family in just a couple of weeks.
"I was going to Junior Day at Mississippi State," said Brock. "They invited me and everything, but I am going to be in Nevada that day. My grandmother is turning 95, so we're all going out there for that."
The 6-3, 215 pounder believes he has the right combination of size and speed to excel at the next level.
"I would say my speed is my strong suit," said Brock. "I think it really helps me."
