Mahwah (N.J.) athlete Jamal Clay is a versatile athlete who is hearing from a handful of schools currently and he is making plans for unofficial visits.
“I’m hearing from Connecticut, Rutgers, Virginia, Syracuse and Stanford right now,” Clay said. “I do indoor track, so that has kept me from attending junior days. I’m going to try and visits Syracuse, Connecticut and Virginia in April.”
Clay is participating in the New Level Athletics Passing Camp in Akron, Ohio on March 22-23 and he is hyped up about it.
“We’re going to show people how we do it in New Jersey,” He said.
Last season, Clay 5-foot-9, 170-pounds ran 32 times for 274 yards and five touchdowns. He also caught 13 passes for 231 yards and a score. He was named First Team All-League and Honorable Mention All-County, He currently sports a GPA of 3.2 and will take the SAT on March 1.
