Arcadia (Calif.) linebacker Todd Golper picked up his third offer on Friday, and it came from a Pac-10 school.
"Coach Kish at Arizona said that they were offering me," said Golper. "He said they liked my blitzing ability. I had just gotten them my film and he said they had just watched it and were offering me. It was like two days of contact with them. And he said like an hour after they got my film, they were offering."
Golper's offer from Arizona joins offers from UCLA and Stanford, who still hold the edge, but he was thrilled to get an offer from the Wildcats.
"To me, every Pac-10 offer is exciting," said Golper.
Communication has also picked up with Oregon, Colorado and Georgia Tech, and each could be on the cusp of offering.
During his junior year, Golper earned First Team all-state underclass honors and was named the Pacific League Defensive Player of the Year. He finished the season with 122 tackles, 11 sacks, nine tackles for loss, nine quarterback hurries, four forced fumbles and two interceptions, both which he returned for scores. Offensively, he had 30 receptions for 528 yards and six touchdowns.
Academically, Golper has a 3.5 GPA and scored a 1630 on his first shot at the SAT. He plans to retake it in the spring to improve his score.
