“I am going to junior college in California,” Brandon Davis said. “Everything is working itself out. I'm getting where I need to be. I was happy when I received the phone call. I am willing to do anything it takes to get into college.”
Davis recorded 40 tackles, one interception returned for a touchdown, two forced
fumbles, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown during his senior season. He had over 400 kick-return yards returning five for touchdowns and 200 punt return yards returning two for touchdowns.
“I would say when the team needs someone to make plays I always end up being that player," Davis said. "I don’t know why it ends up being me, but I am always that guy. I am really trying to improve everything. I need to put work in on everything I do. I am trying to get my 40 time down. I have started working on tackling drills as well.”
Davis was invited to participate in the Scott Kennedy CES combine in January even though he is a class of 2008 prospect. He is coached Don Cox who is also the defensive backs coach for the Scout.com Combine Series.
Davis measured 5-foot-10, 170-pounds in January. He ran a 4.46-40 yard dash, a blazing 3.90-shuttle, 6.78-L-Cone and 37-inch vertical.
“Coach Cox has been really dedicated to me. He has made me work and pushes me harder than I have ever been pushed before. If it wasn’t for him I don’t know where I would be,” said Davis.
Coach Don Cox commented on Davis who also lives with him, “Brandon is a great kid. He just needed an opportunity. He has been a blessing for me. I think he has a lot of potential. He can be great.”
Davis is interested in hearing from Southern Miss, Auburn, Ole Miss and any schools in California while he is in junior college.
