Crawford Visits Two Schools

Keith Crawford may not have hit the end zone many times as a junior, however he did lead his conference in catches and averaged 12 yards per reception. Right now most of the contact he’s had with college programs has been through the mail, but he was able to take two visits recently.

Keith Crawford, a 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver from Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, N.J., has been receiving a steady flow of mail from programs like Georgia Tech, Connecticut, Temple and Pittsburgh and recently made two visits to other programs showing interest in Syracuse and Buffalo.

“My visit to Syracuse went well,” Crawford said. “The players looking like they were having a lot of fun despite having a bad season and it was really a warm-hearted atmosphere between that and the way the coaches were. I thought the coaching staff was very hospitable over all. The weight room was huge and was absolutely fantastic and the Carrier Dome was just amazing.”

“Buffalo was definitely the better of the two trips for me,” Crawford explained. “As soon as I walked in Head Coach Turner Gill and the rest of the coaching staff rushed up to great me which was great. Coach Gill talked a lot about shaping young men into grown men and was very down to earth. I just liked his approach and felt very comfortable with him.”

As a junior, Crawford caught 50 passes for 597 yards and one touchdown. He was named first-team All-Region by The Trentonian.
