Rising senior Sean Conway, of Father Ryan High School in Nashville, (Tenn.), plans to have a very busy spring and summer in hopes of landing a few scholarship offers. The offensive lineman is receiving interest from several schools.
Sean Conway
explains, “I have gotten mail from
Auburn
,
Virginia
,
Mississippi State
,
Florida
,
Western Kentucky
,
Arkansas
,
Vanderbilt
,
Kentucky
and
Tennessee
.”
Even though it’s early in the process he has a pretty good idea about some of those programs, but would love to find out more. We spoke with him about some of the schools to get a feel of what he already knows and likes about the school.
Tennessee:
“I’ve always liked them. I’ve always been a fan. They have a very good program, and I have always liked Phil Fulmer.”
Auburn:
“Coach Tuberville is one of my most favorite coaches. I think he is great and knows a lot about football.”
Vanderbilt:
“Coach Johnson is a real good coach, and I really like Coach Cain. I really like the offense.”
Kentucky:
“I think they have a good program on the rise, and they have very good coaches.”
Conway attended the most recent Junior Day at Western Kentucky and came away with a very impressed.
He explained, “Their offensive line coach is great. He is real upbeat. Their stadium is going to be unbelievable. I really enjoyed my visit to Western Kentucky. It is definitely a place I think I could play.”
“The offensive line coach will be a factor. I want to find a guy that I can see myself playing for, what the campus is like, what type of offense they run," Conway said of making his choice of colleges.
Conway is already working hard to prepare for his senior season. He explained his preparation by saying, “I plan to work on my footwork and my quickness.”
“I think we’re going to be pretty good. I hope we make it to the playoffs and hopefully will do well then. I think we’re going to be pretty good."
