One of those schools is the hometown Florida State Seminoles. Bonner talked more about his interest in the Noles.
"I've been there before for camp and I went there for their Junior Day," he said. "I went to the Miami game last year too. I've been there a bunch, feel comfortable over there."
Despite living in Tallahassee and getting interest from the Noles, it's another Florida school that Bonner grew up favoring.
"It's Florida," he said when asked for his favorite team growing up. "I've always been a Gator fan. I've been there before and really like it down there. They have a real good program but Florida State is good too. I like all the Florida schools."
In addition to the Noles and Gators, Bonner talked about some other schools on his list.
"I like Clemson and Auburn too," he said. "I'm going to Clemson for their Junior Day, for their spring game, and for their summer camp. I'm real interested in them and can't wait to get up there. I'm going to Auburn's spring game and then their summer camp."
Bonner, who plans on taking several visits over the next few months, talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.
"Playing time and academics are the two most important areas," he said. "I wanna play right away and I understand how important the academics are."
Bonner, 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, talked about what he brings to the table as an offensive guard prospect.
"I have really good strength and footwork," he said. "Some guys are huge and strong but don't have the footwork. I feel like I have both."
Inside the classroom, Bonner carries a 3.3 GPA and scored an 18 on his first crack at the ACT.
Bonner plans on attending the Scout.com Combine in Jacksonville this coming Sunday.
