Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger safety Dijon Washington, one of the top defensive backs in the Southland in the class 0f 2009, received his first offer this week.
"Dijon received his first offer on March 5th from Washington State," said Leuzinger recruiting coordinator Ralph Oliver. "Coach (Paul) Wulff told him he's not afraid to hit anything."
The offer from the Cougs is the first from the Pac-10 for Washington, but they're not the only Pac-10 school he's been hearing from.
"Arizona, Oregon State, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Arizona State, UNLV and San Diego State are recruiting him," said Oliver. "Coach Todd Howard at UCLA invited him to their junior day on March 8th."
Washington was an all-Bay League pick for Leuzinger last year after recording 40 tackles, a pick, a fumble recovery and a sack.
