Corona (Calif.) Santiago tight end Marlion Barnett, who helped the Sharks to the CIF-SS Inland Division finals in 2007, picked up his first offer on Thursday.

"I got offered today by Minnesota," said Barnett.

Santiago has put a handful of players into D-I schools the past few years, and Barnett is one of their primary attractions for the class of 2009.

During his 2007 junior season, Barnett had 30 receptions for 400 yards and two touchdowns. He said his yards after the catch average was 13.5 yards.

Next weekend, he'll be at the New Level/Scout Pass Camp in Las Vegas.
