Jonathan Harrison will be one of the top offensive line prospects in the state of Florida this year and Scout.com caught up with him after his strong performance at the Scout.com/Under Armour Combine on Sunday.

Jonathan Harrison was late arriving into Jacksonville on Sunday and therefore missed the testing portion of the event. That didn't prevent him from opening some eyes during the position drills.

After walking over to where the offensive linemen were, it didn't take long to figure out that Harrison had the best physical tools of any offensive lineman at the event.

"I wasn't able to run through the testing but that's OK because I'll be going down to the combine you're having in Miami and I'll do everything there," Harrison said. "It was fun up here, with all these good players. I can't wait for the next one."

Harrison, 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, played on both sides of the ball as a junior and he believes his athletic ability is what separates him from a lot of other line prospects.

"I've played on both sides and I've played all the different line positions," he said. "I played center my freshman year, guard my sophomore year, and then tackle my junior year. It doesn't matter to me which one I play -- I'm just ready to play."

A lot of college coaches seem interested in watching Harrison play as well.

"I've already gotten offers from Auburn and Southern Miss," he said. "I think South Florida is about to offer me and I'm supposed to have a meeting with the Florida coaches soon because they're real interested in me."

The talented big man talked about some of the schools on his list of favorites.

"I grew up liking Florida," he said. "I have no clue why. When I was in 7th grade, I went to their school for something and saw the college and really liked it. Plus, Carlton Medder used to go to my school and he went there."

Harrison said there are several other schools under consideration in addition to Florida.

"I also like Auburn, South Florida, Tennessee, and Southern Miss," he said. "Auburn and Southern Miss because they've offered me. I went to South Florida's Junior Day yesterday and had a good time. I liked the facilities, the atmosphere there, and the coaches."

Harrison, who plans on going to Auburn and Southern Miss for unofficial visits later this month, talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.

"Academics will be a huge part," he said. "Location will be important. It doesn't have to be in Florida, just close to Florida. And then the general atmosphere -- what it's like around the team and stuff like that."

We look forward to seeing Harrison in Miami next month to show everyone what type of athlete he really is.

Inside the classroom, Harrison is a strong student who carries a 3.8 GPA.
