A dominant force in the small school ranks last year, Payson (AZ) High's Matt Wilson was a terror on both sides of the ball and hopes he can turn that into a college scholarship.

Wilson: "1st team all state offensive line, 1st team all Arizona Republic small school offensive line, 1st team all region offensive line, honorable mention all state defensive line and the team's linemen of the year."

"6-6 250 pounds."
What is your greatest football memory?
"When I got a sack that was a safety with a minute left to seal the win against Bradshaw Mountain."
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"1st team offense and defense all state, all Arizona team, make the all star game and most importantly, win a state championship."
How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
"A few camps and lifting and working out three times a day all summer."
What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
"Speed and pad level. Also, explosion off the line."
Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
"Bryan Burke (DE) and David Carlen (LB)."
Name one teammate you really respect and why?
"Tyler Savage (WR/LB), he is such a hard worker and no matter what comes up in his life he doesn’t let that get in the way of his goals."
What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
"I want to play and have my college paid for."

"Colorado, UNLV, NAU, Azusa Pacific and a few more. And no yet."

"Yes."

"Azusa Pacific, NAU, Colorado and Oklahoma."
Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
"Dwight Boyd (Blue Ridge OL that sigend with NAU) he is so big strong and fast."

"Ethan Amos, great player but really really humble."
What other sports do you play?
"Basketball and track."

"Bench- 260, Squat- 445, Power Clean- 265 and 40- 5.3."
How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
"Smart."

"Big, strong and smart. And my weakness is my pad level."

"John Lynch; great player, great worker and great intensity."

"Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can not do; you decide and then prove it."
