Kasseim Everett helped Roman Catholic High School to a Philadelphia Catholic League Championship last season, contributing as a running back, wide receiver and cornerback throughout the season. Right now he is in the process of getting his film out to many schools throughout the country and just came home from a junior day at Syracuse.
Kasseim Everett
, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound cornerback from Philadelphia, Pa., just came back from junior day events at
Syracuse
University and has been getting interest from programs all over the nation at this point. He still has yet to nail down his first offer, but with many visits lined up he’ll certainly be getting his face in front of coaches this spring.
“It was a four hour ride up to Syracuse and we got there a little bit early, so we took a tour of the Manley Field House and there was a lot of history in that building as you looked around at what the sports programs have accomplished,” Everett said. “I spoke to Coach Phil Earley and he said he liked my film a lot and after that we went into the auditorium so Head Coach
Greg Robinson
could introduce the entire staff.”
“After Coach Robinson talked they broke us up into positions and we watched some film of Syracuse at cornerback,” Everett added. “We got to talk to some players after that, saw the weight room and then went to the basketball game. When I was leaving Coach Earley told me to stay in contact with him.”
Syracuse isn’t the only school showing the Roman Catholic product interest.
“I have been talking to
UCF
and just sent them my highlight tape which they said they were impressed with,” Everett explained. “
Connecticut
has asked me to camp there and
Pittsburgh
,
Penn State
,
Stanford
,
Rutgers
and
Maryland
all want me at their spring games and have stopped by my school.”
Schools are simply recruiting Everett as an athlete at this point, but having seen him play multiple times he will most likely end up in the secondary at cornerback.
