Magnolia DE picks up offer from LSU

Scout.com 300 national member, Fletcher Cox, picked up another SEC offer over the past few days.

"I got an offer from LSU in the mail on Friday," added Fletcher Cox. "I also received an offer from Alabama and Auburn last week."

Fletcher now holds offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, USM, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Alcorn State. Anybody else hot on Cox's heals?

"I still get a lot of letters from Michigan. Coach Hopson wants me to come up there for a camp this summer."

Fletcher got a chance to attend Alabama's Jr Day last weekend. How did it go?

"It was good. I liked what they had to offer."

What stood out the most?

"Just meeting their head coach and facilities. They gave me an offer and that was pretty cool."

LSU's scholarship offer could end up in a visit in the near future from the 2007 All-State selection.

"I am thinking about going going over there for Jr Day on April 27th when they get their national championship rings. That should be pretty cool."

Which colleges are currently showing Fletcher the most interest?

"I have not really talked to anyone in a while, but I am getting a lot of love from Alabama and MSU. LSU has started sending me a lot of letters since they offered, and I have exchanged numbers with the Ole Miss staff so I am going to start calling them to see what they are about."

Who would the 6' 4", 230 pound end like to see increase their interest in him?

"LSU. I am real interested in LSU now that they have offered me."

Fletcher recorded 103 tackles, eleven sacks and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, during his junior campaign.
