Duron Harmon, a 6-foot, 190-pound safety from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden-Wyoming, Del., just picked up another offer from Rutgers to team with one he had already received earlier from Stanford. While the Scarlet Knights haven’t been able to tell him where they project him, he was still excited to receive the offer none the less. “My friend Desmond Wynn goes to Rutgers and says it’s a nice school with great academics and cool coaches,” Harmon said. “I am going up this weekend to check out the campus and talked to Coach (Joe) Susan this week. He just told me that he liked my film a lot and that they were offering me as an athlete. I like that they’re close to home so my parents could come watch me.” “Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Virginia all sound like they’re close to offering me as well, especially Pitt,” Harmon explained. “Coach (Bryan) Bossard and I talk a few times a week and he is good friends with my father because they grew up together. I don’t know much about Pitt, but we’re going up in the spring to meet with everyone and get a feel for the campus and coaching staff.” As a junior, Harmon carried 91 times for 701 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 15 catches for 275 yards as well. On defense, he collected 43 tackles, two interceptions, broke up eight passes and forced five fumbles. |
