Carlo Calabrese may not be burning up the circuit like many other players are with tons of offers, however the seven he does carry now certainly speaks for quality over quantity. Today he picked up two more offers from Pittsburgh and Boston College and could be close to more with several visits on tap over spring break. | |||

Verona, N.J., product Carlo Calabrese grabbed two more written scholarship offers today when Pittsburgh and Boston College letters arrived in his mailbox. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound middle linebacker also holds offers from Notre Dame, Florida, Maryland, Rutgers and Syracuse right now. “Offers from Pittsburgh and Boston College came in the mail today,” Calabrese stated. “I’m also visiting Notre Dame next weekend, Florida on April 11th and will be attending a junior day at Penn State coming up here soon.” “I don’t know much about Pittsburgh to be honest,” Calabrese said. “Coach (Jeff) Hafley and I talked and he said that they have a senior linebacker and really need me to come in and fill that spot for him when he leaves. He came off as a pretty cool guy and I’m going to try and make a visit there.” “I like Boston College a lot,” Calabrese added. “I went to their junior day last year and the campus was very nice and very convenient in the way that it was set up. They were a Top 10 program last season and I really like Head Coach Jeff Jagodzinski a lot. They offer great academics and there are a ton of New Jersey kids that go there.” As a junior at Verona High School, Calabrese notched 104 solo tackles and six sacks. |
