Pinciotti Talks Early Interest Premium Story

Fordham bound running back Jamir Livingston was a workhorse running back in the Philadelphia Catholic League for the past few years and one of those reasons was left guard Mike Pinciotti opening huge holes for him. Pinciotti is an excellent student, so the Ivy Leagues are already after him, but he has the talent to play at the higher levels as well.

Mike Pinciotti, a 6-foot-3.5, 285-pound offensive guard from St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, Pa., not only brings strong play to the field, but is an ace in the classroom as well, reporting a 3.83 core GPA and 1200 on his SAT. Right now Princeton, Columbia, Brown and Penn are four Ivy League programs chasing him, but they aren’t the only schools showing serious interest.

“I have been hearing a lot from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Rutgers and Syracuse,” Pinciotti explained. “A coach from Syracuse actually came into our weight room a while back and talked to me and really seemed like a nice guy. Jim McKenzie from The Prep is up there, so I’m going to talk to him about the school.”

“We have another player from The Prep in Charlie Noonan up at Rutgers and he has told me a lot about them so far that I like,” Pinciotti said. “He says they do a lot of resistance training in the weight room and their whole way of strengthening themselves sounds pretty cool to me. I have never been there, but he says the weight room is incredible. I know they are a big school that has done really well recently and it would be nice to have someone I know at the school I go to. I got a handwritten letter from Coach Joe Susan the other day and am definitely going to visit because right now they’re my favorite.”

“I also like Boston College because they are an awesome program that offers a really good education. Just like some of these other schools, they have a Philly area guy up there right now in Matt Ryan who is from Exton.”

Pinciotti was named second-team All-League and honorable mention All-City as a junior. He benches 340 pounds and squats 595 pounds.
