Scout.com caught up with New Jersey standout Aaron Hayward this weekend at the Badger Sport/New Level Athletics Skills Pass Camp in Akron. Hayward seems very high on the instate Rutgers Scarlet Knights. He is waiting on offers from some others.

Carneys Point (N.J.) Penns Grove wide receiver Aaron Hayward made his wide receiver debut this weekend in Akron at the Badger Sport/New Level Athletics Skills Pass Camp. We say debut, because by trade Hayward is a running back, but is being recruited as a wide receiver.

He proved to be the go-to guy for the New Jersey team that advanced to the semi-finals where they bowed out to the Pennsylvania team. The New Jersey team earned a reputation as the talkers of the tournament, but Hayward didn’t fall into it. He focused on the games and what he had to do to showcase his skills.

The talented athlete currently holds an offer from Rutgers, but he is hopeful that more will be on the way in the near future.
