Kevin Revis has not secured his first scholarship offer, but he has been busy this spring with unofficial visits.
He commented, “I’ve been to Auburn and Vanderbilt for Junior Day. I’m getting letters from Auburn, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Purdue and Wake Forest.”
“I love the athletic facility," Revis said of Auburn. "They have a real good FCA program which is important to me. I like the coaching staff, and I think they run a good program. And just the fact that it’s Auburn. They want me to come to camp this summer.”
Another SEC school visited is Vanderbilt, and he really seemed to enjoy his time in Nashville.
“It’s a beautiful campus," Revis said. "I really liked the academics. The recruiting coordinator, coach Logo, is real personable. I like Coach Johnson also. He is real personable. I also liked their facilities.”
Revis is hoping to hear from a few other schools over the next few months.
He explained, “I would love to hear from Tennessee. They are probably number one. Also I really love the way Georgia runs their program. I also like Kentucky, South Carolina and Clemson.”
He spoke of his plans for attending summer camps by saying, “I plan on attending Vanderbilt definitely, maybe Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Tennessee.”
“My strengths come from wrestling in my footwork. I like to hit people, and I guess I am football smart,” Revis explained of his playing ability.
He reported his high school is a very run-heavy team and wants to improve areas of his game.
“I need to improve my pass blocking," Revis explained. "I need to improve my ability to stay low.”
Revis expects his team as very competitive this fall.
“I think we will do well," he said. "We have a good core group of seniors coming back. We perform well together, and we all like to get after it."
