How
did the visit go?
"It was a great experience," added Keshun Cowan.
"I liked talking to Coach Vaughn. He is a cool person, their defensive back
coach. He told me that he liked the way I carry myself. He watched a couple of
my games on tape and liked what he saw."
This was the All-Region 1(5A)
first chance to tour all of the Ole Miss facilities.
"I really liked
the new Fed Ex center. It is a great place. I did not know they had all of those
tutors. I did not know you had that many tutors in college. It is about grades
first at Ole Miss. That is what really stuck out to me."
One more
thing stood out for Keshun.
"I liked the intensity they bring in practice.
I could tell they need a little help at corner, and I would like to be the man
to help them."
Cowan also had a chance to visit the other school in
Mississippi who is a member of the SEC.
"I went down to MSU's Jr Day,
and it was a very nice experience down there too. I really enjoyed talking to
Coach Smith."

Keshun
has a cousin that attends MSU.
"K.J. Wright is my cousin. He said it
is cool down there. They are about grades first down there too. I also liked that
they went to a bowl game this year too."
Where next?
"I
do not know. I had a chance to go down to Auburn's Jr Day, but I choose Ole Miss
instead."
Who else is recruiting the young corner who collected 47
tackles and 3 interceptions as a junior?
"I am getting alot of letters
from Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Illinois, Vandy, USM, Stanford, and Memphis too."
Which
colleges have caught Cowan's eye so far?
"Probably Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Memphis, but I like Alabama the most though."
What stands
out about Alabama?
"I just like the way they play down there. They
have always been good too."
Cowan would like to work on a few things
during the offseason to take his game to the next level.
"I have good
speed. I run a 4.4 forty. My strengths are covering the WR's and jamming them
at the line. I can change directions really well and my ability to judge the ball
in the air is really good. But I need to work on my overall strength and gain
some weight. I am about 175 now, and I need to get that up to 190 before I start
(college)."
