Florida LB Collecting Offers
"I have offers from Rutgers, Ole Miss, UCF, FIU and Clemson," said Daniel Mack. "I am receiving interest from basically every top tier school in the country. "North Carolina, South Carolina, Miami, Auburn and USC are schools who are showing me a ton of interest." "Right now I am being mostly recruited as an athlete. Some schools say strong safety, linebacker or running back. I have been offered for both sides of the ball. I think I would be best at strong safety. I am 6-foot, 195-pounds and run a 4.4-40." Mack took an unofficial visit during the weekend to South Florida and visited Florida International Tuesday. "The USF visit went really good," he said. "I got to see the campus and their training room. The scrimmage was really intense. I liked the way they ran the practice. I like how their coaching staff is intense. They have high standards for their program." "The visit to FIU went really well. The coaches couldn't show me much because they are in the process of building a new stadium. They seem very interested in me. It was good to mingle with the coaching staff and see how they run practice." "It's my home town, and I like their staff a lot. They seem down-to-earth. The coaches have come from great schools, like Rutgers and UM. They are trying to build the FIU program." "This weekend I am going to the UCF spring game. I have never been there before. I am really looking forward to seeing everything and watching the game. I can't wait to get there. I will be able to learn a lot more about them." Mack recorded 128 tackles, eight sacks and two interceptions during his junior season. He had 300 yards rushing and nine total offensive touchdowns. He was named All-Dade County and All-State. "I don't have any favorites right now," he said. "With new schools coming at me each day it's hard to name favorites. I will probably make my decision in early December or late November. I plan to graduate in December." "An important factor in my decision is my relationship with the coaching staff. I want to see how I feel with them, and how they feel with me. I want to find the best system that fits me. Playing time is not a concern. I feel like I can go anywhere in the country and compete."
